On Thursday Mornings I attend the Senior Adult Choir Practice at my Church. The Group is Called the Valley Voices. We always have a great time of singing and fellowshipping.
About twice a year we put on a musical for our congregation and we usually share it with another church or the community around us in some fashion.
Many times we visit the retirement, and nursing homes in our area. These are special times of sharing and fellowshipping with folks who may not be able to attend the presentation at our church.
Our Minister of Music is a very sweet man and so very talented. Rick always has something going on somewhere. But as I have said before he’s CHEESY!! On the back of our To Do List for Valley Voices there is always something fun to read and enjoy!
Well, let me just tell you…. Today was no exception!! And I thought it was Kind of Appropriate considering the fact that our youngest is getting married in August.
So here’s the funny for today……
JACOB AND REBECCA
Jacob, age 92, and Rebecca, age 89, living in Florida, are all excited about their decision to get married. They go for a stroll to discuss the wedding plans, and on the way they pass a CVS/ Pharmacy. Jacob suggest they go in.
Jacob ask the man behind the counter:
“Are you the Pharmacist?”
The Pharmacist answers,”Why Yes, I am.”
Jacob: “We’re about to get married. Do you sell heart medication?”
Pharmacist: “Of Course we do.”
Jacob: “Medicine for rheumatism and arthritis?”
Pharmacist: “Definitely.”
Jacob: “How about Viagra?”
Pharmacist: “Yes, of course we do.”
Jacob: “And Medicine for memory problems?”
Pharmacist: “Yes, we sell a large variety of meds, The Works!”
Jacob: “How about vitamins, sleeping pills, Geritol, and medicine for Parkinson’s disease?”
Pharmacist: “Well, absolutely.”
Jacob: “You sell wheelchairs and walkers?”
Pharmacist: “ All speeds and sizes.”
Jacob: “We’d like to use this store as our BRIDAL REGISTRY.”

Too funny Sharon!!!! I guess I had an extra giggle or two because DH's parents were here today and they are 90something...they just keep on ticking like Timex watches!!
Bless you...
Susan
Yes, I laughed too. That was great and what you do through our choir is a great ministry. If only I could sing, but my husband got that talent. When I get to Heaven maybe God will let me sing in Heaven's Choir because everything about me will be different. No pain, no tears, .. Well you know what I mean.
From my heart to yours,
AliceE.
I'm so glad you dropped by today. Your warm & gracious words are always a treasured gift to me. I feel as though I've known you a lifetime, and that we have already shared so very much.
Won't we have a blast in God's eternal order? You can sing. I'll just be sassy.
Hugs,
Kathleen

that is so bad!!!! lol
That's a classic! I bet he's never heard that request before! :o)
Thanks for visiting me and commenting on my post about finances. It's sad that you've lost a lot of your retirement fund. But maybe God's got some more adventures up his sleeve for you and Papa that you wouldn't otherwise experience!
I experienced the Lord's wonderful provision last week: on Monday I asked my boss for an extra day's work so we can save for a house, and he said yes. But at the end of the week, he also asked about my starting hours ( I start at 9.30 because I live about 45 minutes drive away, and have to get the kids to school) I said I'd thought of starting earlier, but I wasn't sure if I'd be able to consistently make it there at 9a.m. Guess what my boss said...
"Well try to come earlier if you can, we'll continue to book your appointments from 9.30, and if you get in earlier, you can claim the extra half hour."
That is amazing! I was just gob-smacked at God- how GOOD is he!! So instead of earning 20 hours a week, I will be now earning 25, plus an extra half hour whenever I can get in earlier! So through the winter(I'm in Australia), I may continue at 9.30, then when the good weather comes, the kids will be able to walk to school, and I'll be free to earn a little bit more! GOD IS GOOD!!
LOL! Finally getting around to visit some of my favorite sites!! I've been really busy traveling and working in general. I hope this note finds you well. Take care. Strider
