Anticipation...

Those of you who read my blog with any regularity know that I am a huge Max Lucado Junkie!!!

Well, then you will understand why I just can't miss an opportunity to tell you about his latest book.

On 3/16/08 My church, Spring Valley Baptist in Columbia, SC will join with many other churches around our nation in the Global Outreach Initiative of

3:16 The Numbers of Hope

This will be launched worldwide with a live event simulcast on Palm Sunday, 3/16/08, and will culminate with a major television special featuring Max Lucado on Easter Day, 2008.

Why am I so excited?

John 3:16 is the most famous verse in the Bible, with Good Reason. It contains the most essential truths of our Christian faith. All those who believe in those basic truths come into an eternal relationship with the Creator of the Universe.

John 3:16 is a twenty six word parade of hope, beginning with God and ending with Life and urging us to do the same. Brief enough to write on a napkin, or memorize in a moment, yet solid enough to weather two thousand years of storms and questions.

Max calls this verse the "Hope Diamond "of the Bible.
